Update on the ankle

I suppose if I truly was geriatric, it would have been a lot worse. But after x-rays and an exam, it was determined that my ankle is sprained, at the least… at the worst, a hairline fracture.

I finally got to see an image of my old repelling injury – apparently I chipped a bone in my foot. It was quite fascinating to see that bone jutting off in an odd direction… the bone that causes most of my favorite shoes to severely restrict my walking comfort after awhile.

I do have to wear a lovely lace up thing all day, for the next several weeks. And best of all, it’s BLACK, so it stands out… I’m sure it will look lovely with my Sunday shoes this week at church! It does help though, so I shouldn’t complain… but I am.

  1. If you want to wear a matching pair, I can send you another black lace up thing …

  2. Poor you! I hope you’re feeling better.

I’m just glad it’s nothing more serious and that you don’t have to have CRUTCHES. Imagine how hard THAT would have been! :) I am sure with a pretty face like yours no one is looking at your feet, dear.

  4. I’m so glad that your injury is not more serious. You’re still in my prayers regarding your baby’s birth and now I’ll add your current injury to my list of prayer items as well.

  5. Oh no! I’ve had a sprained ankle and it’s so painful! Are you using crutches?

    I pray it heals quickly!

I don’t know how I wandered onto your blog, but as I sat and read it tonight it felt so familiar. I had baby #4 last October at age 35-had an emergency c-section because the cord was around Nate’s neck. First c-section/last baby. God totally protected Nate and I still get overwhelmed thinking about his delivery. I will pray for you tonight-for your ankle and for the safe arrival of the little one you are carrying. God Bless, Holly in Indiana

Complain all you want. This isn’t what you needed right now. Poor you.

  8. Already 36 weeks! Wow! Get out!

Okay, you want the baby to “get out” pretty soon, I’m sure! I always asked the Lord what the point of the last month is besides stretch marks for me!

I want to see a preggy picture!!!
