Your hips won’t thank you, but your tastebuds will!

I must first mention that it is apparent to me that yesterday’s blog post left everyone just speechless! No comments! NOT! A! ONE!

Did I break the internet?

Well, maybe this will jump start your engines!

If I were to do a regular recipe posting, you would notice that they all tend to be for desserts. When I look at a cookbook, I get so bored with all of the chicken and the roasts and the pork… Protein? Overrated! Show me the sweet stuff! Who needs dinner when you can just head straight towards dessert?!

Alright, I do eat dinner. But only to set a good example for my kids.

If I had it my way, I’d eat stuff like this all day long:

Turtle Dessert

17 ice-cream sandwiches
1 (12.25-ounce) jar caramel sauce
1 1/4 cups chopped pecans, toasted
1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
3/4 cup Hot fudge topping, heated


Place 8.5 ice-cream sandwiches in a 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Spread caramel sauce evenly over sandwiches. Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup pecans. Top with 2 cups whipped topping and remaining ice-cream sandwiches. Spread remaining whipped topping evenly over sandwiches. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup pecans. Cover and freeze at least 2 hour. Let stand 5 minutes before serving; cut into squares. Drizzle with warm hot fudge sauce.

Makes 10 servings

And by the way, I give you ALL permission to skip dinner and go straight for this.
