My sweet friend

Yesterday, the always sweet and gracious, Meredith (Like Merchant Ships), hosted Alli (Mrs. Fussypants), Lotus (Sarcastic Mom) and myself for lunch.

This was my last time getting to hang with Alli for a long while, as she and her family are moving tomorrow. Fitting, because it was at Meredith’s house that I first met Alli in person. For months now, I have been packing up my kids and heading over to Alli’s house for weekly therapy hang out time.

I’d love to sit here and write a beautiful tribute to my girl. But frankly, I am in denial of it. We’ve known this day was coming for a long time. And now that it is here, I am acting like a child with my fingers in my ears.

Who would have thought that this silly platform we call blogging would net such amazing friends.

I will miss you, my friend. Can’t wait for the tides to turn for us and we can afford to head out on spa weekends together.

Awww- I’m following this story because I’m the one moving away. Poor Fussy. She’s so tough, I don’t see her whining about it like me. Amen on the Spa thing, maybe a double spa/blogher week of fun somewhere. You both look awesome in the picture, I think I’d be red eyed and blotchy. Note to self- take the “this is us” picture as soon as we walk in the door.

I’m sad just knowing you guys won’t be hanging together…it made me happy to know you all were close.

(See how I made this all about me?)

Stay strong, my friends. Hugs and love to you all.

I know that if Alli and I had lived in the same town, I would have spent the entire time saying that we would get together and we rarely would have. That’s what I do to Heather and Sara all the time.

I used to do it to Jennifer from Playgroups Are the Longest Blog Title in History, and then she moved. Right as I was realizing she was my soul mate. Damn.

I hate it for you, babe, but you’ll be surprised at how your friendship works just as well over IM as it did when she was down the street and you were chatting on IM.

  6. So sorry!

Sometimes denial is a girl’s best friend.

Gosh are y’all ever adorable! You are sooo very blessed to have such wonderful friends and even though alli is moving, because you are bloggers, you will still be able to hear her voice and know her mood when you email, blog and call.

I missed my sister so much when I moved last year but as soon as I started a blog–we both felt closer to each other!

ps, cannot wait to meetyou very soon!
