Meet your new Sister

Tonight after dinner, Abbie accepted Christ as her savior.

What a joy.

Will you pray for her as she begins her walk with the Lord?

  4. Missy @ It's Almost Naptime says:

So Awesome! And how timely! In the early church, those who wanted to join were like “preliminary members” for a period of time, and then they all received their baptism on Easter Sunday. So how cool that God chose now for her to claim Him, right before Easter!

  5. Congratulations…it is always so exciting when our children come to the Lord!!!

  6. That’s so great!

  7. Laura @ Laura Williams' Musings says:

And you have a new brother too… my 9 year old was saved on March
    1st!

  8. Welcome Abbie and Congratulations! That’s fantastic Karla. Consider her in my prayers. Welcome little sister! May your walk be a long and wonderful one.

Karla, I hate to sound redundant, but I, too, have tears of joy flowing because of Abbie’s decision to accept Jesus as her Savior and Lord. I remember when you made your decision to follow Him also. You and Sean have lived your lives so that your children know the love of the Lord. Welcome, Abbie, my little sister in Christ.

    With much love and HUGS,
    Mrs. Wetzel

  12. C. R. Morris says:

Oh that is awesome! I have chills and tears!!!! Whoo hoo!!! Praise God! Our Father owns a KINGDOM!!!!

  13. Jennifer says:

Thank you God for welcoming this sweet little one into your flock. I pray that you put a hedge of protection around Abbie to guard her from Satan’s attacks. I pray that she shines Jesus’ light to all those she meets and shares your love with those around her.
    Amen!

  14. Wonderful!

  15. Heidi @ GGIP says:

Oh how wonderful! And she is beautiful with those blue eyes too.

  16. Congratulations!

Now write this down! I made the mistake of not writing down the dates when my two daughters accepted Christ, because I was sure I would always remember! And now I don’t.

My oldest was baptized two weeks ago, and that was such an amazing experience. She talked about remembering the very night that your Abbie just had, so this will be very meaningful to her, too.

    Just write it down!!!

    Congratulations!

    Way to go, Abbie! Congratulations!!!

  23. Abbie –
I am so happy for the decision you made! It is the most important decision you will ever make in your life. Know that life will be hard sometimes, sometimes it won’t be fair – but being a Christian means that God will be with you through all of that and you won’t have to go through it alone. Never lose your faith and never stop believing. He IS real.

  24. Hooray, Abbie! I hope your faith brings you joy and comfort all the days of your life.

  25. The Flip Flop Mamma! says:

How Awesome Abbie!!! I’m so happy for you!

  27. Way to go, Abbie! Can’t wait to meet you someday in Heaven! God has so many wonderful things in store for you – I’m proud of you for taking this step of faith and following Jesus!

  28. Abbie,

I am SO happy for you!

I have a daughter named Abbey too, and I happen to know that your name means “Father’s Joy”. Do you have any idea how crazy God is about you (Zephaniah 3:17)? I think God was doing a happy dance on Saturday night when you asked Jesus to be your Savior!

Much love sweet little sister in Christ! I’ll be praying for you!

  29. Fresh Girl says:

That’s so wonderful!! I know the joy that’s in your house right now. There’s something special about a child coming to that decision in her home with her parents. I pray she’ll grow strong in the Lord and serve Him all the days of her life.

  31. Lysa TerKeurst says:

    Sweet Abbie~

What a beautiful decision you have made. Say yes to God everyday in both the big and small and watch what happens.

And go ahead and pick a verse for your childhood. Your verse may change as you go through different seasons… but what a wonderful thing it is to have special verse to call your own.

    Sweet Blessings!

  32. Yeah Abbie. You have chosen a path of adventure. Keep walking.

  33. What a special choice you made – it is a decision that can never be taken away from you. Draw near to Jesus and He will hold your hand through your journey. Praying for you sweet girl.

    Welcome to the family! :o)

  34. Lelia Chealey says:

    How precious!
Welcome little girl. Chase Him like you would a butterfly. Talk to Him like you do your best friend. Laugh with Him the way you would over something silly. He has delight in your precious smile. He thinks of you all the time. Tell your friends about Him, for He is the best thing that will ever be in your life.
Love & Hugs from your sister in Christ,
    Lelia in Nebraska. :)

  35. Megan (FriedOkra) says:

Now that is exciting news! What a wonderful day for Abbie, your family and God Himself! Enjoy your newfound freedoms and privileges as God’s child, Abbie. And remember, you only have to be what He made you to be, and that will always be good enough!

  36. Thats great! I was sure it would happen since Abbie is such a smart girl. God Bless.

    Abbie,
This is an exciting time and you may think we’re all just a bunch of bananas making such a big fuss about your decision to accept Christ as Lord and Savior. But truthfully, this decision is the most important of any you will ever make. Jesus loves you, and so do your friends back in Maryland. xoxo
