Gratitude (and some randomness…)

First of all – let me say thank you for all of your sweet comments and prayers said for me and for our situation. I know that our lives have different circumstances, but we all have our burdens that we carry. And it is so nice to be reminded of that – that we aren’t alone – that we help carry each others concerns before the Lord.

Thank you.

I mean that with all sincerity.

I am sick, once again. It is just a cold or flu (never sure which is which…) with a fever (no longer – just last night). But when you are pregnant and can only take the equivalent of infant cold drops, colds become a lot more debilitating. Just horrid! The congestion and the dripping, and the throat that feels like at any moment fire is going to come pouring out.

My husband had not only the kids, but me to deal with last night. I’m a pretty quiet sick person. But it was painfully obvious to him that I was suffering.

On top of it – he is recovering from the same thing. Though, with a hefty dose of Thera-Flu, he had a HUGE advantage!!

Thank the Lord for medicine. I don’t know how the Patriarchs handled being sick without Thera-Flu and Tylenol and all of the other wonderful things modern medicine has to offer.

That’s about it. My head is to filled with snot to hold much more.

For some super funny randomness, head over to Big Mama’s place today.

I feel for you suffering from your cold. I’m in the same boat…it’s still hanging in there but the worst is over (its been 2 weeks so I’ve forgotten what it feels like to be well!) Oh how I wish I could have some of that Thera-Flu!

I hope you feel better soon!

  2. I’ve managed to get very sick during every pregnancy and I so hear you, poor girl. Try and rest up.

  3. Terri @ In His Hands says

Oh do I feel for you. I pray you can get some rest!

  4. Karla, hang in there. It sure seems like y’all have had a lot to deal with in the last few months.

    Hope you feel better soon!

  5. The Flip Flop Mamma! says

Ewwww prego and sick? You poor thing! I hope and pray it passes quickly.

  6. Being sick and unable to take over the counter medicines when you’re pregnant isn’t fun. I’m reading a lot about snot this morning. Spring colds seem to be happening everywhere. Hope you feel better soon. You’re so blessed in your husband.

Bless your heart sweetie! I will keep right on praying for you!
