God is the Original Transformer

I am a sinner. I have messed up over and over in my life.

But I am saved and redeemed.

I was watching Life Today last week and saw this interview with Brian Welch, former member of Korn.

Brian “Head” Welch on James Robison
His story amazes me and truly shows the transforming power of the Lord.

I am itching to read this book.
His joy. His perspective. His love for the Lord.
He is unashamed.
Dude is changed!

    I had no clue.

What a fantasic ability he will have to reach out to ‘goth’ kids.

  2. Oh, I’ve wanted to get that book for my youngest brother for AGES.

  3. Ooooh! I loved this interview! Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m absolutely going to get this book! Wow. Thank you for the heads up!

  4. Oh man, I saw part of this interview and had no idea who he was… I just thought, “who is this crazy looking dude on the ‘Christian Network’…”

    That is an amazing story.

  5. Thank you so much for posting this video. It was great watching this and to see how Christ can change lives so drastically! I would also really like to read the book!

  6. I had no idea he had even left the band. Shows you how much I still listen to them! lol He is a definite inspiration to younger people and it’s great that he can help spread God’s word!

  7. For some reason it keeps shutting me down. I’ll have to come back later and read it.

My 14 year old was just talking about Korn last night. He thought it was a “new” band. I will have to show him your post. Thank you sooo much!

  9. That was amazing. What an amazing transformation. God can reach ANYONE, and this man is precious.

Powerful! I stopped and gave God some praise for touching Brian’s life in such a powerful way. God IS MORE POWERFUL than any drug. Wish he would reach Brittney next!

Can’t wait to read the book.

Thanks for posting about this. My gosh, what a change! I’m going to try and get my hands on the book!

  11. I live in the same city as Mr. Welch. According to friends of mine who attend church with him, he is the real deal.

I love that in my conservative city, the Christian community has embraced him rather than pulled in like a sea anemone’s tentacles because his is so different and has definitely walked on the wild side. I also love that he continues to be “who he is” rather than trying to transform himself into “Charlie Christian”.

“He who is forgiven much, loves much!”

His website is headtochrist.com if you are interested in more.

  12. Beautiful, beautiful. The most beautiful thing I’ve seen/heard all week. Thank you, Karla.

  13. I am almost finished with the book and it IS an amazing story. What’s also amazing is to see how this former rocker with serious addictions was able to get away from all that junk in a relatively short amount of time. This guy is rough, but on fire for God, and wants everyone to know God the way he has come to know him. Pick the book up right away!
