A bit more cleaning…

Several things came up in the last 48 hours that weren’t able to be included in Wednesday’s Spring Cleaning post.

To finish cleaning (for now, I suppose)…

Let me start by asking you to pray for my sweet friend Barb (A Chelsea Morning) who has just learned that her dear grandson, Cameron, has juvenile diabetes. The family is beside themselves, as you can imagine. Please lift them all in prayer, and ask the Lord for peace and comfort as they go through any testing and all that follows.

The rest seems like fluff compared to that, but I still want to make you aware of something.

These cards make wonderful gifts too… so even if you don’t have young children, they’d be perfect for a new or expecting mother.

  • Finally… I put my notice in at the restaurant I wait at. Last Sunday, Sean was really convicted about my not working and the timing was perfect for it, since we will be moving and the new baby on the way. It just seems as if the Lord was opening the path up perfectly.

I am excited about this. Even though it has just been part time, there is so much time I miss with my daughter because I work evenings when she is home. I can’t wait for things to be back to normal for us. And I know Sean is thrilled to not be on double duty all of the time.

  • Also – as an aside – I’d like to ask that if any of you ever have any prayer requests, to please let me know. Leave them in my comments or direct me to a way to contact you. I really feel the impressing on my heart to pray and intercede for those with prayer needs – hurts, concerns etc. One thing this job reminded me of was that there are so many hurting people in this world. I was surrounded by them each time I worked. I have been amazed at the loads that my co-workers carry on their hearts and backs. I pray for them and will continue to do so. But as I leave the job, I want to carry those prayers for specific hurts with me.

So please, let me know how I can pray for you.

Have a wonderful Friday.

  1. Karla,

Your Mommy Cards are great. I love them. What a great idea.

It’s amazing to me how many people are in need of prayer. My friend set up a prayer website and she gets requests from strangers all the time. There really are so many hurting people out there.

Today, and in this season, I am one of them. My husband just deployed to the Middle East. I find myself parenting alone until the fall, and worried for his safety. Any whisper of a prayer for him/us is always appreciated.

    God bless you, Karla.

There are so many needs all around us all the time isn’t there? What a beautiful offer Karla. Sometimes just knowing someone is supporting you in prayer is enough to give you hope to take another step.

I’m so glad you get to quit work. What a blessing.
